Taco Bell Counterfeit Gets Alaskan City 10,000 Tacos Via Helicopter
Bethel, Alaska, a town of about 6,200 were so excited to hear a Taco Bell was coming to town considering the closest one was 400 miles away.
Flyers were posted and even a telephone number was given for job seekers wanting to work at the fast food chain.
But Bethel residents were punked.
The hoax was a result of a feud between two residents, according to ABC News.
Once Taco Bell executives heard about the prank and the dissapointment felt by residents, they organized for a truck full of tasty tacos to be delivered via helicopter. Yep, a helicopter carrying a taco truck landed in a parking lot in Bethel to cheers, hoots and hollars.
"It'll be a big event for our community," Mayor Joe Klejka said, reports ABC.
