Woman offers counterfeit $20 at McDonald's - Battle Creek Enquirer
Battle Creek police said they seized a counterfeit $ 20 bill after a woman in a cab attempted to use it to pay for food at McDonald's at 812 W. Columbia Ave. about 12:55 a.m. Friday.
Police said the woman, 25, was in the back seat of a cab and ordered food at the drive-up window.
A clerk at the restaurant recognized the $ 20 as fake and store officials called police.
Officers said the woman told them she had gone to a tanning salon and received the $ 20 bill as change and then was attempting to use it to pay for the food.
The woman, who works at a strip club, had mostly $ 1 bills in her purse and police said it does not appear she knew the $ 20 was counterfeit.
