Inhofe writes book on 'hoax' of global warming

Still, the Oklahoma Republican believes his work is not done.

Next week, the senator said his plans for the book's introduction include interviews with several broadcast personalities known for being on the other side of the debate.

Published by WND Books, which described it as a coup de grace to the global-warming movement, the book is titled "The Greatest Fake," with the subtitle "How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future."

"The timing couldn't be better," Inhofe said Friday in an interview.

What those on the other side of the debate failed to do with legislation, he said, they will now try to accomplish through regulation.

In the scenario explained by Inhofe, that could be much worse.

He also warned that a ruling in a key court case later this year could open the way for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to use the Clean Air Act to have jurisdiction over not only industries but even church facilities.

Inhofe said the economic impact could turn out to be far greater than that of the tax package approved in the early 1990s.

He sees the book as a wake-up call for the country.

Those who have followed Inhofe and his efforts on global warming will see familiar scenes covered in the book.

Those include members of the Inhofe family building an igloo during the 2010 blizzard that hit Washington with a sign that read "Al Gore's New Home - Honk if you love global warming."

Inhofe cites Gore and his Oscar-winning and Nobel Prize-winning efforts repeatedly in his book and writes "one might feel a bit sorry for Al Gore. Almost."

Next week, the senator said, his plans for the book's introduction include interviews with several well-known broadcasters known for being on the other side of the debate.
