Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves died in a snowboard accident, according to a rumor that has spread on Twitter and other social networking sites, a day after the news about the tragic death of legendary singer Whitney Houston broke out.

The fabricated story about Keanu Reeves' death is posted on the hoax website Global Associated News, the same site that reported a fake Avril Lavigne death news, a week ago.

Actor Keanu Reeves is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - February 13, 2012. The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Keanu Reeves lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed. Keanu Reeves was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death.

The story is 100% false.

Keanu Reeves is alive and well.

He now joins the long list of celebrities who became victims of online death hoax.

College Place Police Call Walmart Bomb Threat a Phony

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. - College Place Police are investigating an apparent bomb threat hoax at Walmart over the weekend.   Saturday night, police say the College Place Walmart called 911, reporting a bomb threat the store received, set to go off at 6:19 on Sunday morning. Officers and the College Place Fire Department arrived on scene and evacuated the store just before 1 AM that night. Officers and firefighters stayed there overnight blocking the doors, and didn't allow customers or employees back in until 7 AM.   Police say 6:19 came and went, but nothing exploded, no one got hurt, and they couldn't find any sort of explosive device, leading officers to believe the incident was an apparent hoax.
